Do I Need a Visa?
Kenyan Citizens
Kenyan passport holders do not require a visa to visit The Bahamas for short visits for tourism or business, subject to the conditions determined by Bahamian Immigration upon arrival.
Other African Nationalities
Visa requirements vary by nationality. If you are travelling on a passport other than a Kenyan passport, we recommend confirming your visa requirements before booking your journey.
Entry Requirements
- Passport valid for at least six months beyond entry date.
- Return or onward ticket.
- Proof of accommodation or invitation from a host.
- Evidence of sufficient funds, if requested.
- Documents permitting entry into your next destination, where applicable.

All visitors entering The Bahamas must travel with a valid passport.
Duration of Stay
The period of stay granted to visitors is determined by the Immigration Officer upon arrival.
Visitors may be permitted to remain in The Bahamas for up to eight months, provided they can demonstrate financial ability to support themselves.
Employment While Visiting
Visitors admitted as tourists or business travellers are not permitted to engage in paid employment or any gainful occupation.
